Parenting 101

God's Expectations for your children's behavior are:

• Kindness - Respect - Obedience

• Sin → Conviction = Repentance = Restoration

Failure to have repentance must result in discipline. Scripture says that failure to discipline unrepentant sin leads to the death of your child. (Prov. 23:13-14, 22:15, 13:24, 29:15, 5:23, 13:24, 19:18, 29:15,17) Discipline should be to help bring about repentance, not to satisfy your anger. Discipline may consist of:

• Spanking
• Removal of privilege
• Isolation
• Verbal expression of disappointment
• Work project
• Decide one of your own

One or all may be necessary depending on how God designed your child. Repentance should bring restoration with parent and God
